First Half Notes

Trailing by 5 at half the Cats have got to start shooting the basketball better or they will not be able to overcome the defecit

– Jodie Meeks did not have hist best half, only 4 points and had way too many turnovers
– Ramon Harris and Michael Porter both had a pretty good first half combining for 10 points
– Patrick Patterson is well on his way to a double double with 7 points and 8 rebounds
– Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. They are killing UK today and they have to get better or they will be heading back home to Lexington much earlier than they want to.
– LSU is killing UK on the offensive glass, they are getting way too many second and third chances and they are taking full advantage of the extra possessions
– The defense has been good so far and it has forced LSU into some bad shots, but as stated above the effort is being negated by getting beat on the glass
– Someone from the bench has to come in and give the Cats 3-4 buckets in the second half. Miller was limited in the first half thanks to some very ticky tack fouls.

If you can come out and hit some shots in the second half, limit the turnovers, and pound the glass there is no reason that the Cats cannot come out with a victory and keep their tourney chances alive.

I will have another post after the game. Go Big Blue
