One Night Only

For the first time since 1976 when the Cats moved to their downtown home in Rupp Arena UK will play a home game at Memorial Coliseum and even though it is only the NIT tomorrow nights crowd will be rocking. All tickets went on sale last night and the game is already sold out. It will be a special night in a special place for UK fans as the Cats will play in a place that holds a special place in so many UK fans hearts and the younger fans will get to experience a game in a new place. I have always thought that UK once a year should have one game in Memorial and in my opinion it should be the Tennessee game, but we all know this will never happen because of money so to those attending have the time of your life.

After looking at my brackets throughout the day I have come up with a final four of Michigan St, UConn, Pitt, and Oklahoma with Oklahoma and UConn meeting for the title and Connecticut winning it all. I have a couple upsets with the Hilltoppers from Western making it to the sweet sixteen. I can not wait for Thursday and Friday, I have taken two vacation days from work and I am really going to enjoy 2 full days of nothing but basketball.

The baseball Cats ended up losing game 2 of the doubleheader with LSU yesterday and take on Nichollas State tonight and New Orleans tomorrow before heading home to open up the home SEC slate against Vandy. I encourage everyone to come out and support this team, the games are a lot of fun, the tickets are cheap, and this team is darn good.

I will have a post up tomorrow night after the game. Enjoy St. Patrick’s day and a Cats victory
